Djuky

Everything Djuky does

Free while in beta — every feature below, no card, no limits. Here is the whole thing, in plain words.

For your guests

  • Scan a QR code — no app to install, no account to make
  • Search the full Apple Music catalogue and request a track
  • Vote requests up; the queue reorders live on every phone
  • See what's playing, what's next, and who asked for it
  • Withdraw a request or change your display name any time
  • Danish and English, detected automatically with a toggle
  • Browse a fixed playlist instead of the whole catalogue, if the host prefers

Playing the music

  • Your laptop plays through Apple Music and drives the speakers
  • The next track is preloaded, so songs run together without a gap
  • Optional short fade between tracks, or hard cuts if you prefer
  • Skip, veto the current song, and set the volume from the console
  • Pause the party with a message — "Speeches, back at 21:00"
  • A fallback playlist keeps music going when nobody is requesting
  • Switch between Djuky playing and DJ mode from the console, mid-party

DJ mode — bring your own decks

  • You play on your own gear; Djuky runs the request desk
  • No Apple Music subscription needed for this mode
  • One tap to find any request in Spotify or YouTube Music
  • Runs on a phone or tablet at the booth, not just a laptop
  • Optional sound ping when a new request lands

Staying in control

  • Approve each request, or let them through automatically
  • Filter explicit tracks, block genres, block specific songs
  • Cap track length and how many requests each guest gets
  • Boost a track to the top, or veto anything already queued
  • Block a guest, rename them, or approve names before they appear
  • Profanity filter on names, in Danish and English
  • Restrict requests to one playlist — nothing outside it can reach the speakers
  • Drag the running order by hand, and hand it back to the votes when you're done
  • Give one guest a fresh set of requests without raising the limit for everyone

The big screen

  • Now playing, huge, with the album art filling the wall
  • Up next with vote counts and the name of whoever asked
  • A QR code on screen all night so new guests can join
  • Takes over the whole wall with the QR before anyone has joined
  • Scales properly from a 720p TV to a 4K projector
  • Keeps the screen awake for the whole party
  • A progress bar showing how far through the song the room is
  • Long titles and names scroll gently, so nothing is cut off

Planning the night

  • Pin the first dance to an exact time; it pre-empts the queue
  • Reveal a pinned track on the big screen, or keep it a surprise
  • Rehearsal mode to try the whole thing before the day
  • Share a co-host link so someone else can moderate
  • Printable QR sheets for tables
  • A recap page after the party — most requested, top guest DJ
  • The full playlist of the night with timestamps, and who asked for what

The careful bits

  • Guests stay anonymous — a name and nothing else
  • Data stored in the EU and deleted 30 days after the event
  • No third-party trackers on any page a guest sees
  • Same artist won't play twice in a row unless the room voted for it
  • Requesting a song someone already asked for adds your vote instead
